In March 2018, I took full charge of the branding/artwork of Samsung Pay Card, Samsung Pay’s new online payment service for Galaxy S10. In September, I won an Achievement Award from the company, by partaking in Samsung Pay Card’s successful launch.

At Samsung, I was in charge of more than just design prototyping. I was also in charge of design services to improve the user experience. For the last five years, as the projects of which I was a part have been actually realized and implemented worldwide, what I have seen is positively impacting people’s lives—a lot of people have experienced the service I designed, given feedback, and shared their own experience on social networks. It has been very powerful, stimulating feelings that have possessed me for years.

A student group project with Samsung Electronics Mobile Communication Division. We investigated the pros and cons of messaging, voice calling, and video calling.  Based on the theme “Presents for you,'“ we worked on four key concepts: Convenience, Pleasure, Precious, and Specialty.

This is an application that has a collection of all books from Classes of Hongik visual design since 20 years ago. The professor of the class decided to make this app because now is the time we should go beyond paper books. We kept in mind people's necessities or desires when they go through a book for example - user's reading flow, location of the title of each book, visual and sounds effects of flipping pages, color tone : all of these elements were fixed through several user tests. This was approved for its historic value. It was also reported by the press and exhibited at the Korea Embassy in Washington, in fall of 2012.
